Victory Shrine Nigeria
NIGERIA, Schoenstatt Fathers • About fifty-six Schoenstatt Rosary Campaign members from Obafemi Awolowo University’s Resurrection Chapel, in the Oshogbo Diocese, Ife, visited the Victory Shrine for the first time. • For them, this visit was a moment of personal encounter with the Blessed Mother in the shrine. There was a celebration of the Mass for them at 9am followed immediately by confession, a time for Adoration of the Most Holy Sacrament, the Holy Rosary, and then Fr. Charles gave a series of reflections on Schoenstatt and the Church. Brother DansumaRead More
European Conference on the Pilgrim Mother Apostolate
ORIGINAL SHRINE, Mary Cole • My attendance at the European Conference on the Pilgrim Mother Apostolate (= Schoenstatt Rosary Campaign), 16-18 March 2018,  in Schoenstatt was a last minute decision. I had been asked whether I could translate the keynote talks by Fr Walter and Sr Cacilda, who have been appointed to open a new international co-ordinating office for the Movement. Fr Walter is mainly based in Rome, and Sr Cacilda in Schoenstatt. Sr Marie Munz is the co-ordinator of the Pilgrim Mother in Germany and had the organisation ofRead More
VENEZUELA, Xiomara Pilar Mora Roma and Maria Fischer • “Good day! My name is Xiomara; I live in Valencia, Venezuela.  I would like to know if there is a Pilgrim Mother in this city, or if it is possible to have one. I have known about this title for several years. Some friends from Spain introduced her to me through a Whatsapp prayer group, and since then I have identified myself with her. Recently a sister-in-law gave me a medal brought from Argentina, but here in Venezuela I have neverRead More

A marathon in Goya

ARGENTINA, with material from Inés Petiti and powernoticias.com • It was a two-week, non-stop marathon through Goya, from institution to institution, an avalanche of photos, comments, and emotions: this is what the Auxiliary Pilgrim Mother of Corrientes’ visit at the beginning of February was like. — The Bishop of Goya, Adolfo Canecin, encouraged the faithful of the diocese to follow Our Lady of Schoenstatt “with devotion.” He asked that this Marian mission “give us the same experience that St. Elizabeth had when the Most Holy Virgin visited her.” The Auxiliary PilgrimRead More
ARGENTINA, Inés Petiti • For many years, the Schoenstatt Family from the Corrientes province has dreamed of building a Shrine. There are many wayside shrines in these lands in northeast Argentina, the next one more beautiful than the other, but the closest Schoenstatt Shrines are in Oberá (400 km), Paraná (600 km) and Asunción, Paraguay (350 km). They are too far to visit or go to on pilgrimage often, and even more so for the poor people of the Rosary Campaign. In Corrientes they are already searching for land; theyRead More
PARAGUAY, Julia Troche and Daniel Ávila • This story began on 20 August 2016, which until now, has been the most significant one in my life, rather our lives, because I want to include my whole family. On a winter’s Saturday, at six in the morning, I was taken to the operating room after thirty long days of confinement to give birth to my third child, a boy, after having two girls. We never imagined that our little one would be born with a congenital defect called esophageal atresia, whichRead More
VENEZUELA, María Fischer • Everyone has the right to rest a little during the Christmas holidays, even the Pilgrim Mother, Concepción thought. She has been a missionary for a few months for the only Pilgrim Mother in a city of Venezuela. The Pilgrim Mother was sent from Argentina. “The Pilgrim Mother is in my home now, and she spends such little time with me that I felt that she wanted to welcome this New Year with my family, as a blessing for them”, she commented. The Pilgrim Mother, crowned withRead More
PARAGUAY, Sady Fleitas • The IPS Mission had its annual closing on Saturday, 2 December, the eve of the first Sunday of Advent. We visited eight floors of the Central Hospital of the Social Security Institute (IPS) in Asunción taking the Eucharistic Jesus and his Mother, the Schoenstatt Pilgrim Mother, with us. We were accompanied by the missionaries from the St. Pio Parish. That day we saw the most defenseless children, babies and children ages 2 to 12, who suffer from pneumonia, broken bones, surgeries and illnesses, whose parents giveRead More
ARGENTINA, Alicia Granieri • In Alférez Pedro San Martín, a town never actually took shape. Its life revolves around the train station where the train no longer comes, and the small population is dispersed. This spot, in the Partido de Bahía Blanca, south of the Province of Buenos Aires, is a horticultural area irrigated by the Sauce Chico River, which justifies having an elementary and pre-school. Leonardo Klein is a teaching assistant at the school, and he knows all the people’s spiritual needs living there. The majority are families fromRead More
INTERNATIONAL, Ana C. de Echevarría • In early November, the first 250 wayside shrines photos arrived from the different places around the world and left for Belmonte in order to be present for the opening of the Retreat House on November 16, 2017; more continue to arrive. But these 250 are the ones that opened the way. They showed that the Blessed Mother is happy with this project of uniting all her wayside shrines in a picture of the large Original Pilgrim Mother that will preside in the João LuisRead More
