PARAGUAY, Agr. Eng. Martin Pereira Ortiz • At present the entire world is experiencing climate change, heat or cold spikes, hurricanes, violent rain, hailstorms, or prolonged droughts are happening more often. These natural disasters increase as a result of the imbalance we cause, or being realistic, what we previously called weather phenomena will be natural disasters in the future. In Paraguay, a small country of South America, a group of Agricultural Engineers, all of them Schoenstatters, united to contribute our knowledge, our hands and above all our covenant culture, toRead More
ARGENTINA, Alicia Granieri • In Alférez Pedro San Martín, a town never actually took shape. Its life revolves around the train station where the train no longer comes, and the small population is dispersed. This spot, in the Partido de Bahía Blanca, south of the Province of Buenos Aires, is a horticultural area irrigated by the Sauce Chico River, which justifies having an elementary and pre-school. Leonardo Klein is a teaching assistant at the school, and he knows all the people’s spiritual needs living there. The majority are families fromRead More
POPE FRANCIS with Schoenstatt, Maria Fischer • Three years and a day since the jubilee audience in Paul VI Hall, on 26 October, that audience when Pope Francis gave us the motto for Schoenstatt’s second century: a culture of encounter is a covenant culture, and this creates solidarity. Casa Santa Marta’s chapel doors were opened to the members of the International Schoenstatt Presidency gathered in Rome at their annual gathering. They had the privilege of participating in the Holy Father’s Morning Mass. “It was impressive to see the change inRead More
POPE FRANCIS  • “Today we celebrate World Mission Sunday under the theme: “Mission at the heart of the Christian Faith.” I urge everyone to live the joy of the mission, witnessing to the Gospel wherever they live and work. At the same time, we are called to give support by our care and concrete help to the missionaries who have gone out to proclaim Christ to those who still do not know him.” After recalling World Mission Sunday celebrated on 22 October, Pope Francis called an extraordinary missionary month forRead More
Fr. Alberto E. Eronti, Buenos Aires, Argentina There are questions that touch bottom, that constitute a radical challenge; they are those that leave no alternative, they must be answered.  For example, this was Martha’s experience in Bethany (Jn.11: 26) when Jesus upon affirming “Those who believe in me will live, even though they die,” He asks: “Do you believe this?” “Yes, Lord, I do believe.”  This also was the question Father Kentenich asked a group of Schoenstatt Fathers who went to see him about problems they thought could not beRead More
SPAIN, Javier González • It is difficult to explain completely what Misión País is, and there are a thousand places to start. Despite this, I believe that the most-timely way would be to begin a story, since we are all one, and without being there…it is difficult to understand it. I will tell you the story of a young person who lived in a room without light. In this society, it is very easy to get confused, get lost without wanting to, like the prodigal son trying to find happinessRead More
ARGENTINA, Pepe and Cecilia Sanguinetti, Family Institute • After several months of work and a family mission, we departed from Salta to Jujuy. Destination: the Diocesan Assembly. It has been held for thirty-four years with some 3,000 people participating. The topic: the Family. The Motto: “Let’s Celebrate the Family: A Gift from God.” For the first time in its history, a couple led the Assembly, and it happened that we were invited to take charge. Cecelia had presented a philosophical reflection on Amoris Laetitia to all the clergy from JujuyRead More
BRAZIL, JUMAS Santa María, via jumasbrasil.com.br • On 6-14 January, twenty-eight boys of the Boys’ Group from the southern region, gathered to go on mission for the second time to Coronel Bicaco, in the diocese of Frederico Westphalen. We began the first mission with great enthusiasm close to Tabor, Door of Heaven Shrine in Frederioco. In the southern region for the first time, we divided the missionaries into two communities: Reinisch and Engling. The first visit seemed to be a great challenge having one community with fifteen and another withRead More

La Casita is a community located in the state of Nuevo León, México, where approximately 300 people reside. NIGERIA, Michael Okpala, Schoenstatt Fathers’s student    •  10 December 2016 has providentially entered the annals of Nova Spes Sion course and the Nigerian Schoenstatt Fathers’ Community history. On this day, the five members of this course were ordained to the transitional diaconate. This ordination is a precursor to their priestly ordination, which is slated for 6 May 2017. In this year, the Nigerian Community will be celebrating twenty-five years of Schoenstatt’s presence in Nigeria. This same 2017 priestly ordination will bring the number of Nigerian Schoenstatt Fathers to twenty-five.Read More
