Agathe Hug. "Place your bet..." Well, in Schoenstatt there isn't such a TV programme, nor is Schoenstatt a request programme. Or isn't it? If that were the case, you can be sure that the most common request would be: Dear Blessed Mother we need money for ...! Schoenstatters always need money (and usually don't have any) for social projects, to build a shrine, to build a training centre, etc., that is, for all their good ideas for carrying out Schoenstatt's mission. There are always plenty of good ideas - there'sRead More
PARAGUAY, Carmen Codas. A Teacher's Retreat was held in Tupãrenda on July 9th just like it is every year. Professors and teachers from different parts of the country gathered giving the first day of rest of the winter vacation to receive another kind of nourishment: spiritual nourishment, and a time to share very interesting subjects. Everything worked together to create a welcoming atmosphere, where the hand of God felt present. The theme of the retreat was: "Teachers for a new Paraguay, welcoming, awakening, and transmitting life."  Read More
CHILE, Carmen Maria Rogers. At dawn this passed June 1st, "the German priest who dedicated his life to creating Works in Chile," arrived at the eternal Schoenstatt. Fr. Raúl Hasbún said, "the person of Father Jorge could be summarized in three evangelical words: silence, hope, and fidelity."        Read More
GERMANY, Franziska Jehle/psf. An IKEA shopping day. A relaxing stroll round the displays. Ended up with the bedrooms. And a wall print: If you want breakfast in bed, you can sleep in the kitchen. Well, it's original. So IKEA has hit upon it at last - the trend. To be honest, "Where we find and give shelter, we are at home", above your bed is somehow more uplifting. "Be what YOU are! In the best possible way!" A real incentive in the early morning for the larks - or theRead More
Agathe Hug. It seemed like: the calm before the storm; at least it seemed like there was complete calm on the morning of July 16th, while participating in the Holy Mass "toward 2014" - which was celebrated in covenant with Lithuania. Of course, like "a good Schoenstatter" one has to look at the globe to locate Lithuania. Schoenstatt arrived there via Austria. Father José María García related this during the introduction of the Holy Mass (at the end of the text see link for the video inRead More
Father José María García/mcb. "In covenant with Luxemburg," Whenever the word, Luxemburg, that small country situated between Germany, France and Belgium, was heard, those who know thought about Andy and Frank Schleck and the "Tour de France". Although the Mass celebrated on July 23rd - the Feast of Saint Brigette of Sweden - in the Original Shrine, had nothing to do with this sporting event, instead it was the "Covenant Tour" in preparation for the jubilee of the Covenant of Love, where Saturday after Saturday, the Schoenstatt FamilyRead More
PARAGUAY, Maria Luz Fleitas. On Saturday, July 16, 2011 - the anniversary of the founding of the Family Work - five couples (four Paraguayans and one from Corrientes, Argentina) signed their first consecration contract in the Schoenstatt Family Institute at the National Schoenstatt Shrine in Tuparenda. It was a joyous time for Schoenstatt in Paraguay and for all the international Schoenstatt Families. The course ideal is Ignis victorious Mariae, or Mary's victorious fire.    Read More
PERU, mcb. It is a joy for a Kentenich reporter, who works for the Schoenstatt international web page, to share some information that I received through an email with everyone.. A priest from Spain, who works as a missionary in Moyobamba, Peru, carried out a mission with seminarians in his parish "in the Peruvian jungle", with the Mother Thrice Admirable Queen and Victress of Schoenstatt, the news and photos are spectacular.      Read More
GERMANY, Ulrich and Maria Wolff. Our thoughts and ideas are turning more and more toward the year, 2014. Thus over the past several months, an idea arose in the German Family Movement. World Youth Day in Germany was the inspiration for the idea. The question came up: What would be the possibility of having a type of homecoming in the following way? There will be the official celebrations periods in Schönstatt. But during the time prior to these official celebrations on October 11–15, families from all over the world could meetRead More
