During the 99th Ordinary Assembly of Bishops from Peru, the Metropolitan Archbishop from Ayachucho and Military Bishop, Salvador Piñeiro García-Calderón was elected as the new president of the Peruvian Episcopal Conference for the term of 2012-2015.
