The Fortalecimiento Matrimonial (Marriage Strengthening) in El Salvador is getting closer and closer. It is coming up in February 2024 and Salvadorans are working hard to make sure that the first edition goes perfectly. As part of this preparation, the Costa Rican couple Felipe and Coca Cruz de Font, who were the coordinators of the Fortalecimiento Matrimonial in Costa Rica and currently lead the “Forta” for young couples in that country, visited El Salvador. —
“We see great enthusiasm in the whole team that will work in Forta. We saw a lot of progress and we have no doubt that everything will go well,” explained Felipe Font. The meeting was chaired by Father José Luis Correa Lira, who also traveled from Costa Rica to guide this first experience in El Salvador.

The coordinators: Celina and Eduardo Salaverria
Celina and Eduardo Salaverria have been chosen as coordinators of this first Forta and have a very collaborative support group: more than twenty couples who, in one way or another, are involved in the organization of the retreat. All of them have experienced Forta by traveling to Costa Rica in previous years. It is expected that couples from Nicaragua, Honduras and Guatemala will be able to participate.
The speakers have already been outlined, it has been a work of revision of talks in this visit, and the place for the Forta El Salvador 2024 is already reserved. In addition, next October, some other couples from the Family Branch of El Salvador will participate in the Forta that will be held in Costa Rica to learn more and then increase the internal team in El Salvador. With them will be two couples who will work as the Internal Team of the Forta in Costa Rica so that they have the practical experience of how it is carried out.

A great mission and teamwork to make this Marriage Strengthening a reality that will allow Schoenstatt to spread even more in El Salvador, to go out to meet with couples and to strengthen the foundation of the family.
