A marathon in Goya

ARGENTINA, with material from Inés Petiti and powernoticias.com •

It was a two-week, non-stop marathon through Goya, from institution to institution, an avalanche of photos, comments, and emotions: this is what the Auxiliary Pilgrim Mother of Corrientes’ visit at the beginning of February was like. —

The Bishop of Goya, Adolfo Canecin, encouraged the faithful of the diocese to follow Our Lady of Schoenstatt “with devotion.” He asked that this Marian mission “give us the same experience that St. Elizabeth had when the Most Holy Virgin visited her.”

The Auxiliary Pilgrim Mother, presented by a delegation from Corrientes, was on pilgrimage in Goya visiting the seat of the Diocese of Goya first and then immediately traveling through different institutions during two weeks of the month of February.

Like Mary’s visitation to her cousin Elizabeth

When Bishop Adolfo Canecin prayed in front of the Pilgrim Mother accompanied by the Movement’s representative, Inés Petiti, he related it to the “Most Holy Virgin’s visitation to her cousin St. Elizabeth, and then he invited all the faithful of the diocese especially Goya’s communities to “welcome with great devotion” this Pilgrim Mother that came from the Archdiocese of Corrientes that “will reach different communities, chapels, institutions and especially the families,” the bishop said.

He expressed that “it was a grace and an enormous joy, to receive her here in the diocese” thus “I have prayed the Holy Rosary before her, thanking her for her visit.”

Bishop Adolfo Canecin said: “I want to ask God to give us the same experience that St. Elizabeth had upon being visited by the Most Holy Virgin and that this happen in every family, in every institution and in every parish”, that is  “that this be the experience and the capital of grace that is given in all the places where the Blessed Mother visits,” and he encouraged the Diocese of Goya Campaign to continue with this beautiful mission.

The Auxiliary also traveled to the media at Radio AMLT6 and Canal Goya Vision and FM Norte. Other places visited include: the local delegation of the Argentina Federal Police, Criminal Court 3, and a Correctional Facility, San Roque and a Women’s and Children Clinic, Itati parish which has jurisdiction of the Our Lady Schoenstatt Wayside Shrine, INCONE Computer Institute, Correntina Teachers’ Union Association of Provincial Teachers), the St. Joseph Home for Elderly, and the Monte 12 Battalion of Engineers, and all of this in temps of 40° C.
