Theresia Strunk. “My home is your home…” Those words are to become a new experience in the last weekend of August 2012 (31 August – 2 September), when the Night of the Shrine again brings together about five hundred young people at the place of origin. This year the motto will be: “Winners – a somewhat different way to the top”. When all renew the covenant of love for the youth of the world that was first entered into in 2005 on Saturday night, the Original Shrine will mainly be surrounded by young people from Germany – although they know they are united with the youth and young adults at Schoenstatt shrines all over the world.
Many of they will include themselves spiritually, as they do every year, in this special covenant of love. In the Year of the Shrine Current this virtual network could find expression in a special way: Wouldn’t it be wonderful if this time not only the bell of the Original Shrine, but a chorus of bells from shrines all over the world, ring out as the covenant of love is renewed?
If this wish is to become a reality, the team preparing the weekend urgently need a recording of the shrine bells from every corner of the earth.
