On Thursday, December 28, 2023, a group of young Romanians who were in Schoenstatt at the turn of the year met by chance with Father José Luis Correa and Bishop Mario Quirós of Cartago (Costa Rica), in front of the Original Shrine, where Bishop Quirós gave them the episcopal blessing. —
This moment, the Sisters of Mary who accompanied the young people arranged a meeting with Father José Luis Correa. They already knew him, as he had visited the Sisters of Mary in Timisoara, Romania, last September. In July 2023, the altar for a future shrine in Romania was blessed there.
Holy Mass in the house chapel on Mount Sion
On Tuesday, January 2, 2024, Father José Luis received the young people in the Father House of the Schoenstatt Fathers on Mount Sion. In the house chapel, they celebrated Holy Mass in German, with translation into Romanian and Hungarian by one of the Sisters of Mary (also Romanian).
After Mass, they asked to be allowed to ask a few questions in the entrance hall of the house. However, they were together for about two hours and had a very interesting conversation. Among other things, there were questions about vocations and how to become a Schoenstatt Father.
