Father Ignacio Camacho. Just like every day, on July 23rd, several people arrived at the Original Shrine to pray and to receive a blessing, united with the Schoenstatt Family worldwide.
On that day, there were two important happenings to point out; the first was Father Carlos Cox’s last day of giving the blessing after being in Schoenstatt for several months. He was leaving with a grateful heart after having experienced and having shared the new life that is emerging around our source of grace.
The second one occurred after the final blessing, when an Ecuadorian couple approached with a “bicicross” helmet in their hands.
The helmet belongs to their son, Emilio Falla Buchely, who is preparing to participate in the Olympic Games taking place in London for two weeks, beginning on Friday, July 27th. Father Carlos blessed the helmet, and through them, he also blessed their son. Thus the Covenant of Love and the Shrine will be present at the Olympics in a new way. The Blessed Mother won the gold medal!
