vem. The Blessed Mother had many visitors in the Original Shrine on this Covenant Day. Many wanted to greet her in a special way during her month.
The day began with Holy Mass in the Original Shrine; on this occasion those in attendance greeted the MTA as Queen of Apostles. The celebration was transmitted live through Schoenstatt -TV, in this way, many were able to attach themselves virtually to the Shrine. Father Andrew Pastore was the main celebrant and he greeted the participants and those who followed the transmission in their homes – in German and English.
With each step that we take on this pilgrimage
In his introduction, Father Andrew invited the participants to “open their eyes to the challenges that are presented with each step that we take on this pilgrimage, and in this way we will make Christ present in our world.”
Pilgrims from Chile
A festive atmosphere was also felt that night. The Holy Mass that is celebrated every 18th at the Pilgrims’ Church included the special presence of a group of pilgrims from Chile as well as small groups or individual visitors from many countries. The procession to the Original Shrine to burn the capital of grace and to receive the night blessing was especially colorful. Flags from several countries arrived at the Shrine awakening in the participants the awareness of being an International Family.
The celebration around the bonfire was extended thanks to the good weather and several groups, which were present and wanted to participate by singing songs in different languages. It was a Covenant celebration worthy of the Month of Mary.
