It is sometimes very difficult to find a good gift, an original one that expresses esteem and affection, which will be very meaningful to the person who receives it… Is there one that contains all these qualities? Remembering the past Christmases, the friends of schoenstatt.org have experienced how beautiful it is to write one’s name and those of our loved ones on a star, and to send it to such a holy place as the Original Shrine.
No, it is not a dream: you can give a star! To yourself and to others.
Advent has begun; it is the season of waiting, of desires, of preparation for the birth of Jesus. It is a time of silence, of introspection, of renewal. Once again you may send the names of people, from all over the world, that you want to remember in the Original Shrine. As in previous years, it can be done through schoenstatt.org. The Sisters of the International Secretariat and of the Pilgrims’ Headquarters and some people of the local Schoenstatt Family want to be the instruments that receive the “stars” and take them to the Original Shrine.
We pray together…
On December 24th, the Sisters of the International Secretariat and of the Pilgrims’ Headquarters and local Schoenstatt people will pray along with pilgrims from different countries, who will be fortunate to be at the Original Shrine this Christmas. The prayers and songs will be in the languages of those who are present on behalf of everyone who wants to be there spiritually.
This will be transmitted live through schoenstatt-tv.de on December 24th (at 8:00 p.m. Schoenstatt, Germany time) so that the entire world can be in the Original Shrine on this Covenant pilgrimage that the entire Schoenstatt Family is making toward 2014. Precisely during the second year of the triennium of preparation in which the Shrine is at the center!/p>
After this time of prayer, the whole Family, represented by those who are in Schoenstatt, will go on a pilgrimage like the shepherds of that time with the “gifts” to the Christmas Eve Holy Mass, where we will once again pray for the people whose names have been sent to be inscribed on the stars. Recently a group of the Adoration Sisters of Mary from Spain and Chile has relieved the previous group from Argentina, and they pray every day in the Original Shrine before the Blessed Sacrament; they are in adoration at the Schoenstatt source of grace. They will also pray for petitions received beginning now and throughout the Christmas season.

thank you for this beautiful project. through the prayers of Schoenstatt founder, Fr. Joseph Kentenich, I would like to send stars of prayer, as well as supplication for graces for my loved ones: my children, nikki and allen. may God, through the Blessed Mother, Queen & Victress of Schoenstatt grant their prayers for a child of their own. Stars of prayers for my brothers & sisters, may they encounter Christ in their lives, come to know, love and serve Him. I send a big star for my spiritual family, the global Schoenstatt movement, may the Triune God continue to bless their undertakings, sustain the Sisters of Mary and the lay movement in all their endeavors to bring Christ to the world. I’m sending a star of prayer for myself. May the most Holy Trinity, through Mary’s intercession grant me good health and wisdom.
