September 18th, a Sunday, Covenant day, thirty-five Covenant Days before October 18, 2014 – The worldwide Schoenstatt Family will celebrate the Covenant of Love among themselves with the Virgin Mother in their shrines, wayside shrine, chapels, or home shrines. And on this day, everyone will unite with Schoenstatt, with the Original Shrine. It is almost a year that everyone has been on pilgrimage toward the jubilee of the Covenant. In the morning of this Covenant Day, Father Jonathan Niehaus from the United States will celebrate the Holy Mass in the Zion Shrine of the Schoenstatt Fathers, and the entire world is invited.
For some time when the 18th falls on a weekday, Schoenstatt – TV has transmitted the morning Mass at 7:15 celebrated by a Schoenstatt Father. This allows the worldwide Schoenstatt Family to be live and direct (with a time difference) in the Original Shrine, and they can place their contributions to the capital of grace on the altar during the Mass. When the 18th falls on a Sunday or a celebration, it is again transmitted live and direct on the morning of Covenant Day and then from another of the shrines in Schoenstatt. On September 18th, it will be from the Zion Shrine – and everyone is invited to participate live and direct, in front of the computer or on Mount Zion.
All the of this day’s Covenant celebrations, all the renewals of the Covenant will be offered on this morning during the Holy Mass in the Zion Shrine. A special reminder to all the people who will seal their Covenant of Love on this day – we are referring to the pilgrims who will do this in the Buenos Aires City Shrine. And of course, we will pray for Chile, which also celebrates its National Celebration on this day.
