On Thursday, October 5, the fourth edition of the event “We are one with others” took place, an event to raise funds and get to know more about the benefited institutions. This night of solidarity invited all of us to support the Casa del Niño P. José Kentenich, the NGO Dale tu mano, the Schoenstatt Fathers and the Confidentia Shrine. It is possible thanks to the generous collaboration of many people and companies committed to these projects. —
The event took place at the Espacio Darwin del Buen Ayre, in the northern area of Greater Buenos Aires. It was attended by more than 450 guests and supported by more than 30 sponsors, and it took place in a family atmosphere, meeting with friends and always corroborating that Schoenstatt is a big family, where the desire to collaborate and share was mixed. We were delighted with a delicious meal, raffles, games with the selfless conduction of the journalist and host Claudio Perez.
The beneficiaries of the solidarity dinner
Dale tu mano bets on education, promotes the educational continuity of children, adolescents and young people in vulnerable situations. Currently, it accompanies 400 scholarship recipients in their educational trajectory, both in primary and secondary school, and in their higher studies.
The Schoenstatt Fathers have had their Sion Shrine in Florencio Varela for 29 years. On July 1, the Saint Joseph Chapel was blessed on the same property. It belongs to the Saint Pantaleon Parish, which is pastorally attended by Father Pancho Bosch, and it is a place of belonging for the people of the poor San Nicolas neighborhood.
On Saturday, October 7, Agustín Ozcoidi was ordained as a deacon in Bellavista, Chile, and on November 25, Deacon Lucas Chiappe will be ordained as a priest in New Schoenstatt, which fills us with joy.
The Casa del Niño P. José Kentenich is home to about 300 children in the San Nicolas neighborhood. Their motto is “One more child in the house is one less child in the street”. We always aim to provide love, food and school support.
Confidentia defines itself as an open-door shrine in the center of the city of Buenos Aires. Confidentia is a “big family” whose head is the Blessed Mother. “Nothing without you, nothing without us” comes to life here more than ever. An enormous stream of life passes every day through this very urban shrine that so many pilgrims visit daily seeking a haven of peace and silence.
