A new dawn in El Salvador with the Madrugadores

EL SALVADOR, Fr. José Luis Correa •

In El Salvador, Blessed Bishop Oscar Romero’s small country, there has been Schoenstatt Rosary Campaign missionary groups for decades. There is also a Mother’ Branch group, two groups for young couples, and a group of young professionals just starting – the latter having sealed the founding at the tomb of Blessed Bishop Romero.

Now another important bit of impressive news arrived regarding this country, Mauricio Salazar shared: “I am writing at Ana Mercedes Gutierréz’ suggestion informing you with the good news regarding the start of Our Lady of Schoenstatt’s Madrugadores group on November 4.

Eleven men at the inaugural meeting

Eleven men gathered to pray the Rosary in the Church of the Divine Child at 6:00 am. Fr. Edwin accompanied us for the final prayer, he welcomed us, and Fr. Héctor blessed the picture of the Blessed Mother who is shown on the photo.

I am sharing the photo of our group of Madrugadores.  The person who wrote this article has a picture of the Blessed Mother, and he has been responsible in facilitating and coordinating the beginning of the Madrugadores.

Getting to know our Mother better– together

We are organizing a second gathering of praying the Rosary for Saturday, 2 December. We already have twenty men on the guest list. I have shared written information about the Schoenstatt Movement with them, so that together, we can gradually learn more about our Mother.

We hope to motivate the entire group to begin bi-monthly meetings beginning next year.”
