Toward 2014 – in covenant with Singapore

María Elena Vilches. Saturday after Saturday, the Holy Mass toward 2014 is celebrated in the Original Shrine, spiritually uniting different countries where the Covenant of Love exists. In some cases, the Movement in these countries has a long history, in others; Schoenstatt is a seed that is beginning to germinate. The Holy Mass toward 2014 for this [past] Saturday was offered for Singapore, a small country located in the southeastern part of the Asian continent. Since October 18, 2009, the Pilgrim MTA has traveled to homes in the Germany community that is established there.

Father Andrew Pastore, from England and the leader for the International 2014 Communication Office, presided at the Eucharistic celebration. Father Raúl Espina, from Chile, was the con-celebrant of this Holy Mass. “Let us allow ourselves to be surprised by the creativity of the Mother of God from the Shrine,” Father Raúl said in the introduction.

An atmosphere of internationality

Many people from several nations arrived to participate in this Holy Mass at the Original Shrine. There was a true International Family atmosphere present. There are always many intentions for the Holy Masses on Saturdays, and they come from every corner of the world. During this Holy Mass, the petitions, expressions of gratitude, and contributions that arrived through schoenstatt.org from Germany, Argentina, Colombia, Ecuador Brazil, Chile, Spain, Mexico, Italy, USA, and South Africa were placed in the capital of grace jar.

An atmosphere of waiting

The Holy Mass was offered for those who receive the Pilgrim MTA in Singapore, as well as for those who will seal their Covenant of Love there in the coming years. Another intention, on this last day of the month of March, was for the activities that will take place around the Original Shrine beginning on April 1st, and for those who are physically or spiritually present in this place. April 1st is the day the Original Shrine will be presented to Schoenstatt. The dream of generations is about to be fulfilled…

Those who attended united in prayer for the Pallottine Community, their apostolates in this place, and for all the apostolic initiatives that are carried out in the shadow of the Shrine.
