ARGENTINA, P. Javier Arteaga/org. The Father Symbol has been on pilgrimage throughout Latin America. It has been with the Brazilian Schoenstatt Family, but on January 2, 2012 it will be passed on to the Argentinean Schoenstatt Family.
Members of the Schoenstatt Family of Oberá and Posadas (Province of Misiones) will go on pilgrimage up to Santa Maria, Brazil to receive it and to bring it to Argentina. This ceremony will be able to be seen via live transmission, from Santa Maria, via www.tvschoenstatt.org at 17:00 hrs. in Argentina.
In the evening of January 3rd, a Mass will be celebrated in the Oberá Shrine, and then a holiday with familiar folkloric dances and fireworks. This will be the beginning of the Father Symbol’s pilgrimage through Argentina’s different communities until May.
60 years of the Shrine of the Father
January 20th the Shrine of the Father celebrates its 60th anniversary with a Mass at 19hrs. All are invited to attend and join in giving thanks. The Father Symbol will be present on that day, which at the same time is the tenth anniversary of the blessing of the statue of Father Kentenich near the Shrine.
