mkf. In Chile and Ecuador, they are already dreaming about chartered planes. In Costa Rica and Brazil, they have already composed jubilee songs. A few days ago a work document, the fruit of the Experts’ Conference held May 3rd-7th, 2010, was presented to the General Presidency, the national presidencies, and national leaders for 2014. This document presents changes suggested by several countries through their national presidencies and the General Presidency to transform Message 2014 into a pilgrimage to Schoenstatt and then to Rome, which will take place on October 18, 2014, and for the common spiritual preparation by the entire International Schoenstatt Family. Now we are looking toward October 18, 2010, the opening date for the Triennium of preparation.
One of the most touching moments during the July 18th celebration of Father Kentenich’s priesthood centenary in Memhölz, in southern Germany, was listening to the youth choir from the different dioceses of southern Germany and Switzerland sing a song directly addressed to the Father and Prophet: “Father Kentenich, our Father and Prophet, your charisma, our strength. Your working for all times through people, whose hands are in your hands, their hearts in your heart -sowing eternity.” It was a song composed in preparation for 2014 for the opening of the Triennium that in three months – on October 18th – will begin with a year centered on the Father current…
Nothing without you Original Shrine… nothing without us…
On October 18th, from all the Shrines, from every wayside shrine, chapel, Home shrine, work Shrine, heart shrine, we want to take the first step of this large pilgrimage of the people, that on October 18th 2014, will take us together, to the Original Shrine and then on to Rome …bearing missionary projects in our hands, the Covenant of Love in our hearts, strengthened by the Father current, the Shrine current, and the missionary current.
From every Shrine, we will tell the Original Shrine: Nothing without you, Original Shrine, nothing without us, Family from the Dominican Republic, the Philippines, Costa Rica, the Congo, Canada, Cuba, Russia, Lithuania…the Galapagos Islands, Memhölz, Pehuajó, and in conclusion, from each and every one of the five continents different locations.
The entire Schoenstatt Family is invited to take this first step, in the Shrines, and in the wayside shrines, October 18th is the first step of this large pilgrimage.
