Santa Cruz – 365 Days before the Blessing of the Future Schoenstatt Shrine

BOLIVIA, Roberto Henestrosa and Alexandra Kempff •

We celebrated a Holy Mass on May 2nd to begin the countdown that will end in exactly one year with the blessing of the Santa Cruz Shrine. It will be on the same site as our wayside shrine, in Buen Retiro, a quiet, green place that invites you to linger. —

Before the Eucharistic celebration, the coordinators of the Family, Róger and María Isabel Baldivieso, gave a few words of reflection on how important it is to be united in this great task that we have before us: to build the Shrine physically and spiritually.

The work has already begun!

The working groups have already begun to coordinate their tasks, and the life of the Santa Cruz family has been “turned upside down” in all its normality.

It’s like waiting for a baby: we are excited, we choose a name, we imagine what everything around us should look like, and we are worried if it’s going to be born in time, if we’re ready to take care of it, and so on.

Queen of Unity, Building Queen

We are working to fill the jars with contributions to the Blessed Mother’s Capital of Grace and we will crown them Queen of Unity and Building Queen on May 31st. The prayer goals set by the leaders of the Commission seemed to be very ambitious, but the enthusiasm is so great that much progress has been made in a very short time.

We ask the readers of schoenstatt.org to accompany us with their prayers and follow the progress of  construction through the articles that we will publish in this beautiful year.
