The Polish Schoenstatt Youth invitation to Schoenstatt Youth Day in Otwock and Jozefów

POLAND, by Mateusz Glasek •

World Youth Day in Krakow is drawing near, and this is a perfect time to present the Schoenstatt Youth Day project. Polish Schoenstatt Youth, inspired by previous meetings preceding WYD, embarked on this event.

Every year young Polish people meet at the end of the summer to prepare themselves for the next formation period, education and growth in faith and grace. This time turned out to be the chance to share this experience. Having World Youth Day in Krakow gave us an impulse to create an event that would help everyone to take part fully in the Year of Mercy; it would also be a great opportunity to meet in the international company of youths.

Motto: Stay connected!

Schoenstatt Youth Day is going to be a place to enjoy relationships, the Schoenstatt community, and the presence of God. Our motto is “Stay Connected!” We still remember the beautiful events of the Schoenstatt Jubilee in 2014. An important thing said there many times was to take special care of relationships. As we wanted to stay in main stream of Schoenstatt, we want to emphasize this aspect of life.  At present, we have about 180 people interested in taking part in our event. We are expecting around 300 people to come. Places to sleep would be available in the homes of local families or in schools.

The date of our event is 17-19 July 2016. The program contains reflections, workshops, group discussions and of course Holy Mass as the most important part of our meetings each day. The topics circulate around relationships and mercy.
