The Blessed Mother surrounded by her smallest children

Un millón de niños rezando el rosario: Santuario OriginalSandra Lezcano. On October 18th at 9:00 a.m., children of different nationalities gathered to pray the holy rosary convoked by the One Million Children Praying the Rosary campaign. The objective of this campaign is to gather children to pray the rosary on October 18th at 9:00 a.m. asking the Blessed Mother for peace in the world and in every country.

 

 

On Monday the 18th, children also gathered in the Original Shrine; there were children from different parts of the world, who with the affectionate help of Sister M. Damiana Czogala and Father Baltharar Blumers prayed the Holy Rosary in German, English, Spanish and Polish.

A prayer that touched the heart

Folletos en diferentes idiomasA prayer was offered that not only touched the Mother Thrice Admirable and God the Father, but it also touched the hearts of everyone who was in the Shrine at that moment: pilgrims, who arrived to greet the Blessed Mother, were unable to leave the Shrine until the end of the rosary, the proud parents who saw their children praying to Mary with such devotion, one could see the emotional faces of the mothers, the Sisters of Mary, who attended, and those of the Schoenstatt Fathers, who also came to this place to accompany the prayer.

Mrs. Teresa Torres Blumers, one of the promoters of the campaign also attended the rosary, welcoming each child with a rosary. Pamphlets printed in all the languages were available so that the children could follow in each language.

Even children who were only a few months old participated

Todos juntosBabies also participated in the rosary; one of them was Polish and the other one was German. For half an hour, the children filled the Original Shrine with joy and tenderness; they were also happy to do it knowing that their parents accompanied them in this event.

After the last mystery, they consecrated themselves to the Blessed Mother, each one in his/her own language. It was a touching moment and one of much tenderness for everyone, to feel the children’s total and pure giving of themselves to the Blessed Mother.

A sweet gift in the shadow of the Original Shrine

dulcesAfter the rosary, Sister Damiana and Father Baltasar Blumers showed their affectionate appreciation to the children by giving them candy, a souvenir photo was taken, and in this way, they greeted the Blessed Mother on October 18th, a very special day in Schoenstatt.

The campaign of “One Million Children Praying the Rosary” was not only held here, but hundreds of children, surpassing one million, prayed in schools, parishes, wayside shrines, and in homes on October 18th asking for peace throughout the world and for each one of their countries.
