The Original Shrine is full of prayers and songs of the Schoenstatt Family from Argentina

Pilgrims from Argentina in Schoenstattmkf. On the morning of September 18th, a large group of Argentineans bid farewell to the Original Shrine departing early in the morning for Rome via Stuttgart, Munich, and Quarten, Switzerland. They had been visiting Schoenstatt since September 12th. They attended the Mass on September 15th in the Adoration Church, and they traveled around Schoenstatt as well as the surrounding areas in the footsteps of the Father. For many of them, it was their first visit to Schoenstatt. “I still cannot believe I am truly here,” said Coco Ricciardi from Mendoza on the last day of the pilgrimage.

After visiting the Holy Land Holy Mass in the Original Shrineand still full of the emotion and experiences of those days, the pilgrims from Argentina–from Mendoza, Tucumán, Cordoba, Corrientes, and Buenos Aires stepped onto another “holy land”, the original Schoenstatt. Ana and Oscar Capezio from Ituzaingó, Province of Corrientes, celebrated their twelfth visit to Schoenstatt, and among all of them (except Father Guillermo Carmona), they were surely the ones who had come on pilgrimage to Schoenstatt the most. “Just the same, it is always something which is profoundly touching,” Ana said. “One desire is in arriving and not wanting to depart…” Shortly after the time they arrived until they had to bid farewell, the Original Shrine was full of pilgrims with rosaries, ribbons with the national colors of Argentina, their little flags, and above all, the prayers and songs of the Schoenstatt Family from Argentina.

The Mass at dawn on September 15th along with all of Father’s Family is something magical

Pilgrims from Argentina in the Holy Mass, September 15On September 15th, the entire group participated in the Mass of the Schoenstatt Family at the time of Father Kentenich’s death. “The most beautiful thing was when Father Keinrich Walter, the main celebrant, greeted us at the beginning of the Mass as a group in Spanish,” commented Ines Erice de Podesta, from Mendoza, area leader of the Mothers Federation in Argentina. “These are precious moments in which one does not feel like a visitor; but rather as a guest in the home of the Schoenstatt Family, one feels welcomed here. This is the second time that I have been in Schoenstatt on September 15th, and it is the same sensation. The dawn Mass on September 15th, along with the Father’s entire Family is something magical; it is something one should not miss…” After Mass and breakfast in the Training House of the Sisters of Mary, they experienced a complete Father’s Day up on Mount Schoenstatt with a visit to the Founding Father’s apartment at the Training House, going on pilgrimage in his footsteps on Mount Schoenstatt, and visiting the Father Kentenich House in the afternoon.

““A concrete place that I can now touch””

Holy Mass in the Original Shrine, together with a German groupOn September 16th, they were in the Original Shrine for their Mass for the renewal of the Covenant of Love. As the result of a misunderstanding, Father Michael Marmann, appeared precisely at the same time along with a group of the Family Work from Munich to also celebrate the Holy Mass. They had a bilingual Mass concelebrated by two Schoenstatt Fathers, Father Marmann was celebrating his birthday, and Father Carmona was celebrating the anniversary of his ordination. Father Carmona spoke to both groups in Spanish and German consolidating them with the “prophesy” that in heaven we are all going to speak the same language (which obviously will be Spanish!). The Argentineans enlivened the Mass with their lively songs heartily sung as a demonstration of their affection for the Blessed Mother. Pilgrims with Fr. Guillermo Carmona“”It is incredible to be hear,” said one of the pilgrims from Tucumán, who was in Schoenstatt for the first time, “In the place that one knows from so many photos and that now becomes a concrete place that I can touch…”

“Pilgrimages” to the Press Office

Every half-hour, there were “pilgrimages” to the Press Office, located in front of House Marienau where they were staying, to connect to the Internet and to the life of the Schoenstatt Family (and to obtain a copy of Video 2014!). At one time, there were twelve people at the same time in the Press Office occupying every chair, and there was a vital exchange about the role of the Rosary Campaign in spreading Schoenstatt throughout Argentina, as origin and guarantee of the strong missionary stream that Conference 2014 discovered throughout the Family on an international level. The pilgrims from Mendoza, Tucaman and Cordoba (and a volunteer from Brazil, who had to mention that John Pozzobon was from his country!) were mutually on fire in their enthusiasm, Coco and Iris Ricciardi, de Mendoza, wiht the International AuxiliaryCoco and Iris Ricciardi, from the “first generation” of the Campaign in Argentina, were present!!

They concluded their time in Schoenstatt with some private time at Father’s tomb on the night of September 17th. Several people commented that this time was the highlight of the entire pilgrimage!

Yes, Father, we will go with you…!
