The Pallottine Family was happy to welcome the members of the General Presidency of the Schoenstatt Family for a Holy Eucharistic celebration at the altar of St. Vincent Pallotti, on 8th November 2023. —
The Holy Mass was presided over by General Superior of the Secular Institute of the Schoenstatt Fathers, Fr. Alexandre Awi Mello. Fr. Alexandre Awi Mello was the Secretary of the Dicastery for Laity, Family and Life from 2017 to 2022, and hence his presence was significant all the more for the members of the Union of Catholic Apostolate present at the Eucharistic celebration.

The spiritual and apostolic patrimony of Saint Vincent Pallotti
At the beginning of the celebration, Fr. Jacob Nampudakam, UAC President, welcomed the members of the Schoenstatt Family, also on behalf of Rector General, Fr. Zenon Hanas who was out of Rome. Fr. Jacob reminded that who united both the Spiritual Families for this moment of worship was St. Vincent Pallotti whose spiritual and apostolic ideals were shared by both the Communities.
Both Fr. Alexandre Awi Mello and Fr. Christian Löhr, General Rector of the Institute of Schoenstatt Diocesan Priests, expressed their joy in celebrating the Holy Mass at the altar of the great Saint Vincent Pallotti. They thanked St. Vincent for the spiritual and apostolic patrimony that they were privileged to share with the Pallottine Family.
The moments of prayer and fraternity experienced by all the members present will certainly foster greater understanding and communion among the Pallottine Family and the International Schoenstatt Movement. It was also a moment to reaffirm once again the greatness of the Roman Saint Vincent Pallotti and the relevance of his charism for the Church and the world today.
