María del Carmen Villar Reyes: “And day by day, wherever you walked, you conquered a heart for the Blessed Mother”

CHILE, Myriam Mellado V. During this Jubilee year celebration, I want to make a well-deserved tribute to a very beautiful woman who conquered so many people for Schoenstatt: María del Carmen Villar Reyes – Marujita to everyone, our great leader of the Women’s Branch of Villa Alemana, who was our guide, counselor, sister, mother and great friend.  She marked the way to Schoenstatt because that is what the Blessed Mother wanted for our people.

Friend, you dreamed about this year 2014, you worked by Mary’s hand and of many of this land for 2014, you prepared the tickets for Schoenstatt for this very glorious celebration…and on the 17th of December 2013, the eternal God the Father had something even more grandiose for you than Schoenstatt’s Jubilee year.  He who loves us so much, had prepared the Kingdom of Heaven for you, not so that you would speak of Him and the Blessed Mother; but rather, that you could rest and speak directly with Him in his loving arms.

Thank you Marujita.

Thanks to you in me and many women, there is a before and an after Schoenstatt in our lives.

Such a great fire for Schoenstatt

You lovingly taught us about Father Kentenich’s life, With absolute trust, you showed us a giving of self to Most Holy Mary, I saw such a great fire for Schoenstatt in you.  Day by day, wherever you walked; you conquered a heart for the Blessed Mother.

In my joy and sadness, I feel an enormous gratitude to God for having placed you on my road.  You were the most valuable instrument that the Lord used to invite us to work for his Kingdom.

We worked together for many years; you were our pillar, our firm rock, always willing to help and to listen, as Father Pablo said in your final farewell.  Your likeness to Mary was beautiful, you walked throughout Villa Aleman, and wherever you went, people came out to ask for your advice, for a little bit of your strength, your perseverance, or to ask for a visit of the Pilgrim MTA.  You took care of so many of our things that now that you are not here we feel that your quiet caress has no limits.

In this Jubilee year Marujita, thanks to you, we are better prepared. Thanks to you, I feel that the Blessed Mother is Mother and Queen, and day by day her love grows in our hearts. Thanks to you, my admiration and acknowledgment of Father Kentenich helps me to guide the ladies’ group.  Thanks to you, I learned that the Most Holy Mary loves me as I am.

Rest in peace, my great friend, the one hundred years of Schoenstatt is coming.  Thanks my Blessed Mother. You are always in our hearts.  God’s ways are infinite as infinite as his mercy
