“And heaven touched earth”

Mónica FernándezCHILE, Carmen Rogers. Farewell Mónica Fernández, militant of the Women’s Professional Branch in Santiago Cordillera and Favorite Missionary of the Pilgrim MTA… She had begun her pilgrimage toward October 18, 2014… and the Father wanted her to arrive before many others.

Mónica Fernández , durante sus ultimas vacaciones hace pocos días‘And Heaven touched Earth’, this was the headline of Mónica’s report about the pilgrimage of twenty-three professionals to Schoenstatt in the year 2000.

And it ended this way: “the questions that emerged throughout the trip, were answered at last. To know the place was to know the Founding Father and his work, as well as the humility of that holy man. The word love was the common denominator of all the people that we met here, they truly made us feel like the favorite daughters of the Father.”

The Blessed Mother’s chauffeur

“Love” is also the word that describes Mónica: profound and coherent love for God and his beloved Blessed Mother. Love and complete giving of self to Schoenstatt and the Schoenstatt Rosary Campaign, where, as she would say, she became the “Blessed Mother’s chauffeur” since the Auxiliary Mother Thrice Admirable arrived from Brazil to our Cenacle of Providence Shrine. She even traded in her auto this summer for one with more space to accommodate the Auxiliary MTA.

Love which led her to become an example of giving of self and of service to the Blessed Mother, taking the Auxiliary to schools, cities, jails, coordinating schedules and searching for new places.
Love spent in hours making rosaries for many people…
Love translated into weekly prayer, daily attachment to the Shrine.
Love expressed in sincere friendship of her group sisters, her Branch and Apostolate Group.

In the Arms of the Pilgrim MTA

Acompañada por la AuxiliarOn March 8th, “this time, it was she, Mónica Fernandez, who was in the arms of the Pilgrim MTA”, she has gone to Heaven.

Mónica, who belonged to the Path to Tabor Group, arrived at the celebration from the Chapel of the Sisters close the Marian School. She had begun her pilgrimage toward October 18, 2014… and the Father wanted her to arrive before many others, surely because in Heaven, thanks to God, there are no clocks or calendars and God’s time is always!
