Australia Prepare to Celebrate the Jubilee

AUSTRALIA, Bernard Toutounji. The Schoenstatt Movement in Australia – as part of their gift to Father Kentenich for the Centenary – recently concluded a series of formation days, the final theme on Father Kentenich’s role as the third contact point in the Covenant of Love. The Australian Schoenstatt Family has been offering formation days over the past couple of years in an attempt to form leaders for the Australian Church and Movement.

The talks were given by Sr M. Elizabeth Foley, Sister Superior of the Schoenstatt Sisters of Mary Australia/Philippine Province.

Founder and Father

That Father Kentenich more clearly recognised his role over the course of the Schoenstatt history, only goes to show how he allowed himself to be led by Divine providence. Father Kentenich always asked himself what God was telling him through all events and happenings in his life, whether they were great or small.

In this way, the participants in the formation day discovered, that Father Kentenich came to realise that God intended him to be not only the founder, but also in a true sense the father, the permanent head, of our Schoenstatt Family.

The material presented was excellent and very thorough, and those who attended commented on how much they received from the sessions. At the end of the series there was certainly a desire for more of this type of formation into the future.
