Places to meet Father

Orte der Vaterbegegnungmkf. The conviction that God gives grace at certain places when pilgrims visit them spiritually or in person, applies also to those places particularly connected with the unfolding of Fr Kentenich’s charism and Schoenstatt’s history. This conviction has always been alive in the Schoenstatt Family. We could mention Schoenstatt, Cambrai, Dachau, Gymnich, Koblenz, Nueva Helvecia, Bellavista, Rome and Milwaukee as the goal of many pilgrimages.

Gymnich, Koblenz, Dachau…

KoblenzImmediately after to opening of the “Father Year” in November 2010 the first text became available online. Its subject is Gymnich, Fr Kentenich’s birthplace. Photos and texts by Fr Kentenich (taken from the book by Sr M. Doria Schlickmann, The Hidden Years), as well as a meditation by Msgr. Felix Kreutzwald give deeper access to the place.

In December Fr Oskar Bühler presents Koblenz and Metternich: Koblenz as the place where Fr Kentenich was imprisoned by the Gestapo (September 1941-March 1942), and the place where the Mariengarten came into existence, as well as his decision of 20 January; Metternich as the place where the process of the Mariengarten developed in an exemplary way.

Dachau is introduced by Heinz-Martin Zipfel in January, again with a Kentenich Text and a meditation. It includes a reference to the Dachau altar in the house on Berg Moriah, Schoenstatt.

These texts are available in Spanish, German, and English.
