URUGUAY, María de las Rosas Armas. The first Daughter Shrine located in Nueva Helvecia is celebrating its 70th Anniversary. They want to celebrate it by inviting all the Daughter Shrines to be present by sending a photo. On the day of the celebration, the Shrine will be surrounded by them. The celebration will be October 20th, two days after the opening of the Jubilee Year of the 100th Anniversary of the Covenant of Love and of “our home in Schoenstatt”.
What the first Daughter Shrine meant to the Founder
Father Kentenich, a prisoner in Dachua, received the news of the blessing of the first Daughter Shrine the following year. What a joy it was in Nueva Helvecia to receive his confirmation!: “The news that a new Shrine has been blessed arrived to my solitude. May the Mother of God bless everyone who finds themselves with Her in this Shrine; may she transform you into new men and women and may She warmly shelter you in her heart. May She make ardent apostles of everyone, who carry out the plans of God without faltering.”
We have to keep the Covenant stream alive
In preparation for this jubilee, the Rosary Campaign has the mission to secure its presence in Uruguay, where it is not as strong as in neighboring countries. “Our job is to try to reach the brothers/sisters to make the graces of the Shrine known, above all those of the Shrine of Nueva Helvecia. We have to keep the Covenant Stream alive!”
