First Family School Course Begins in Spain

SPAIN, Rodolfo Monedero. The first course of the Family Pedagogy School in Spain started on February 24th in the outskirts of Madrid. This initiative was made possible with the support of the German and Austrian Schools, and answered the desire of some Spanish families. In attendance were Ella and Thomas Herkommer, who will accompany the group throughout the two years of the course, as were Gertrud and Norbert Jehle, the speakers and directors of the German School.

Five families participated in this day of retreat, and with great joy they were able to reflect and talk about positive experiences in their married and family lives. The sacrament of marriage, in which Christ becomes present in a real way, is far too precious to allow it to be destroyed. In a special way, Fr. Kentenich’s pedagogy helps in the process of growth into marriage and family life, as well as in the learning process to afterwards take this message to others.

The beginning is never easy, and because it could not be any other way, the abundant prayers and contributions to the capital of grace offered by many people supported this modest start, including some families who in the end were unable to join the first course.

We trust that our dear MTA will bless this project with abundant fruit, as she has already done in many other European countries.
