Crowning of Schoenstatt Pilgrim MTA in Huelva

SPAIN, Communication Service of the Schoenstatt Movement in Madrid. The good God gave us a radiant day on Saturday, October 15th, to joyfully and profoundly celebrate the crowning of the Schoenstatt Pilgrim MTA as “Education Queen of the new man and family” Almost 300 people from different parishes of Huelva and its province, as well as from the Diocese of Sevilla, congregated in the Diocesan Seminary Chapel of Huelva for this solemn rite of praise and petition to the Most Holy Virgin. Missionaries and families, who receive the monthly visit of the Schoenstatt Pilgrim MTA in their homes, had conscientiously prepared themselves for this ceremony during the past months with their prayers and offerings of love to Mary.

A Europe of the Spirit

Although the Bishop of Huelva, His Excellency and Most Reverend, D. José Vilaplana could not attend because he was on a Pastoral Visit, he expressed his joy and prayers for the crowning ceremony that was to be carried out.

This crowning ceremony unites with the large crowning stream throughout Europe, which was awakened and set ablaze through the pilgrimage of the Auxiliary Pilgrim MTA throughout the thirteen European countries and which will culminate on September 8, 2012, with the crowning of the Pilgrim MTA as “Queen of the New Evangelization of Europe” in its place of origin, Schoenstatt (Germany).

Within the framework of the new evangelization promoted by the Holy Father Benedict XVI, the Schoenstatt Rosary Campaign has shown itself as an efficient tool to re-construct a “Europe of the Spirit,” to which John Paul II encouraged us. As a result of this small Pilgrim MTA, who visits homes, schools, hospitals, jails…etc. and through her visits, she gives us the graces of the Schoenstatt Shrine: the grace of spiritual shelter, inner transformation, and apostolic zeal. These graces root us more profoundly in God, and they transform us into brave apostles building the Kingdom of God.

Make us your instruments to reach the heart of every person…

Accompanied by three deacons of the Diocese of Huelva, Father Manuel Roldán, Pastor of Alcalá de Guadaira (Sevilla) and member of the Schoenstatt Institute of Diocesan Priests, presided at the ceremony, which was held in Huelva. In his homily, Father Manuel stressed the significance of this crowning expressed by the coronation prayer: “Mother, with this crowning we recognize all the power that God has given you…Accept your crown anew, in it we give you our smallness and willingness. Make us instruments to reach the heart of each person… Queen: Nothing without you, nothing without us!” With this motto, we expressed our petition, and at the same time, we offered the Holy Virgin our willingness. We place our trust in Her to evangelize our land and that through Her all people will find their way to the heart of God.
