mkf. It was a joy to celebrate this 18th - 1,217 days -39 18ths- from October 18, 2014 - especially on a Saturday, because this way the usual Mass "toward 2014" that morning in the Original Shrine - in covenant with Kuwait - was at the same time celebrated as a Covenant Mass, transmitted live via schoenstatt-tv! Father Heinrich Walter, President of the General Presidency of Schoenstatt, was the celebrant (since Father José María García was in Paraguay for the priestly ordination of Alfredo Pereira and Pedro Miraballes). Gerold’s music home with them or listen to his music on the way to work, to Church or to family gatherings.      Read More
mkf. "There's always a bed in a cornfield!" For the last two or three years a canny pub owner in Germany has been offering bed & breakfast at a "Thousand-star-hotel" using this song from the 1970s. And it is just that: in a cornfield under the stars. But not quite the thing for the eight, ten or fifteen or more thousand pilgrims from all over the world making their way to Schoenstatt and Rome in October 2014. No, we aren't offering a bed in a cornfield, but one in aRead More

We are Schoenstatt!

mkf. "We are Schoenstatt". Yes, it means exactly what it says: we are Schoenstatt. Schoenstatt has hundreds, thousands, millions of faces. Someone who is well informed about the pedagogy of the currents of life that Father Kentenich applied recently related that at one time the people from one place told him: there two Schoenstatts, that of…and this one…Just like it happened at the beginning with Apollo, Paul, or Cephas, in Corinth. He answered: Oh no! Not two…there are hundreds. And he began toRead More

Queen of Africa

ZIMBABWE, Marlene Peter. We first crowned Our Blessed Mother “Queen of Africa” in Zimbabwe on 31 May 1981. Our Schoenstatt family was still very new having only started in 1977. At the time we began, there was a war of liberation going on. Independence took place in April 1980. That same year the Schoenstatt Family in Johannesburg, South Africa, crowned Mary, Queen of Africa. We decided to do so as well the following year. Our country had been through a terrible war and there were many wounds that needed healing.Read More
