CHILE, mda. VINCULO, the Schoenstatt Family magazine in Chile, since March, has been offering us a monthly timeline of the events in 1914, written by Sr. M. Jimena Allende. It includes events in Schoenstatt, Germany, Chile, and all over the world in 1914, a year marked by the start of the First World War, and which this year is being remembered in a wide variety of publications, presentations, films and conferences - the worst war in history. BURUNDI, Mariya Niyibizi. After participating in the 100 year Jubilee Celebrations of the Covenant of Love in Ngozi Diocese in northern Burundi, I took a little time to meditate on this prophecy and our founder's desire: "May the world become Schoenstatt."  I was surprised by the large turnout of the Schoenstatt Family but even more so with the sacrifices they made for this Jubilee.  Most of the Schoenstatters walked more than four hours under the hot sun.  Four hundred Schoenstatters who came from distant parishes were hosted in the homesRead More
SPAIN, org. “In this jubilee year, it is a look toward Schoenstatt, toward the origin, toward the sources which emerged from the depths of the soul of Father Kentenich, and a question about how to make it alive in us today.”  With these words, Fr. Carlos Padilla, Director of the Schoenstatt Movement in Spain, introduces a reflection, which he also offered schoenstatt.org and that soon will be available as E-Book, so that it may be made known, highlighting the restlessness behind this reflection:  “Reaching one hundred years is anRead More

GERMANY, fma. A hundred years ago, at the start of the First World War, Fr Joseph Kentenich founded the Schoenstatt Movement as "a counterpoint of love to all the hatred and inhumanity in the world". These were the words of Bernhard Seidenath, German MP, on 6 April 2014 at the Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial. Fr Kentenich spent more than three years as a prisoner of the Nazi regime in the Dachau concentration camp, and, as Mr Seidenath said, he brought his "fellow prisoners consolation, hope and love". In the midstRead More

USA, Fr. Jesus Ferras. As we journey through Lent, I would like to invite you to consider reviewing the invitation made for this Jubilee Year to work on the “Purification of the Memory”. In spite of all the lights and festivities of this Centennial Year we acknowledge that we are at times weak instruments, that we have made mistakes and that we have also sinned.  Read More
SOUTH AFRICA, Sarah-Leah Pimentel. The excited chatter and the volley of questions made it very clear: now we are definitely on our way to the Jubilee 2014 celebrations!  On 9 March 2014, the South African pilgrims who will attend the Jubilee celebrations in Schoenstatt and Rome gathered at the Shrine in Constantia, Cape Town, to receive their airline tickets directly from Our Lady's hand.  The pilgrims who live in Johannesburg, George and Port Elizabeth were represented by the members of the South African Pilgrimage Coordination Team.Read More
Father Carlos Padilla Esteban. We are building a network of living Shrines for Mary during her jubilee year.  Lent and Holy week are an opportunity to continue to offer our capital of grace.  We are beginning a time of conversion in which we receive the mercy of God in our lives.  The network is made of many bits and pieces of united cord.  How difficult it is to unite!  How easy it is to divide.  Mary always unites us.    Read More
