Saint Joseph: Waiting for his departure to Cuba

ARGENTINA, by Osvaldo Martín •

Within the framework of its pilgrimage to different places, the Saint Joseph statue that will be transferred to the Cathedral of Havana (Cuba) was blessed and temporarily enthroned in Iglesia de Dios Padre [Church of God the Father], where it will remain until its departure. This event was held on 15 August, the Feast of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Nuevo Schoenstatt, Florencio Varela, Buenos, Argentina.

Fr. Alberto Eronti, who shared some warm words about Mary and her spouse, Joseph, in his homily, celebrated the Eucharist.

An atmosphere of great peace and devotion permeated the place that was filled with Sisters of Mary and many pilgrims.

It was a day of radiant sunshine after more than twenty days of intense rains that caused serious floods in several parts of the country.

We will continue to conquer the statue of Saint Joseph spiritually until its departure to Cuba, and according to Fr. Eronti’s words before the blessing: “We have to load up the saint with petitions.”

We also pray for the Cuban people who are reopening the doors of faith after many years as they are preparing to welcome Pope Francis in September with great joy and hope.
