More informative, accessible and simple

VATICAN, red. A “cleaner” more agile, straightforward, and above all, more accessible and informative website describes the Holy See’s (www.vatican.va) new remodeled webpages introduced online May 2nd.

The Web lends much more importance to the informative factor – the presentation of Francis’ current texts, direct links to news services and the press – that practically occupies the entire width of the page.  The Papal Twitter section and four other sections have also been incorporated including:  news, calendar, photos, and video.

On the left, around the large photo of Francis, and beneath the very simple as well as striking “Francis”, you will find Pope Francis’ homilies, prayers, speeches, letters and other texts according to listed categories.  The previous introductory page – the structure and organization of the Holy See – now appears in the lower part of the page. The change of typeface and spacing has made it more legible and attractive.

As before, the site appears in eight languages:  Italian, English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Chinese and Latin. And it is hoped that soon Arabic will join the list of languages offered.
