Kentenich Talks in the Year of the Father

ENGLAND, mkf. In this month of June, Fr. Duncan McVicar is giving three talks which tell the story of the “Garden of Mary” for all who wish to know more about the spirituality of the Father and Founder of the international Schoenstatt Movement. The talks are recorded and can be followed as livestream of video on demand via Schoenstatt-tv.

The Garden of Mary – A New Vision for today’s Christian

P. Duncan McVicarFather Duncan McVicar places the theme in the context of Father Kentenich`s charisma for the church of modern times. “ The charism of Schoenstatt Movement is to make a contribution to one of the greatest issues and problems in the Church — how to prepare and form Christians today to be able to face the challenges that confront them today. In other words, we are dealing here with one of the most fundamental problems of today’s world and life. We need a new vision of Christians. The preparations, the catechism, the customs, and the traditions of the past — on their own — are no longer in a position to equip Christians today to deal effectively with modern-day challenges.” In his first talk, Fr. Duncan gave an idea of the “seven faces” of the “new man in the new society”, followed by a summary of the Origins of the Historical Garden of Mary.

This talk was given on June 1. The life recording of the first Kentenich Talk worked out perfectly, but the recording did not… So Fr. Duncan McVicar gave the talk again, so all can follow it.
