Hearing the cry of girls and women in China

In einem Land, das Jungen bevorzugt, werden bei einer strikten Ein-Kind-Politk wenige Mädchen auf die Welt kommen...INTERNATIONAL, Mary Cole/mkf. A Zenit article published (in English) June 2nd has moved many Schoenstatt members around the world. With the 2014 preparation focusing on outreach and international apostolic creativity, the reported issues a cry for action, many say, especially in view of human dignity, and a new social order marked by justice and deep respect for human life, human dignity, and human personal growth. It is about hearing the cry of girls and women in China.

In the Zenit article, Reggie Littlejohn, a U.S. attorney who founded Women’s Rights Without Frontiers — an international coalition that opposes forced abortion and sexual slavery in China, shares about the cruel practices of forced abortion, forced sterilization, and infanticide of baby girls in order to press forward China’s One Child Policy.

Reggie Littleton invites all persons of good will to hear the cry of girls and women and their families, create awareness of the atrocities committed to one fifth of the world’s population, and help to bring about changes. Sharing the Zenit article and signing the international petition is a small but efficient step towards this goal. Schoenstatt people all over the world, do you hear the cry?
