Christ Tabor Mission

BRAZIL, Pietro Marramacrco Lovato. The Brazilian Boys Youth (Jumas) in the Southern Region met in Vicent Dutra on 17-25 January for their fourth Christ Tabor Missions. Seventeen boys visited homes and offices, prayed the rosary and participated in daily Mass. Fr. Clodoaldo Kamimura, the Schoenstatt Movement director for the Southern Region, and seminarian Gabriel Felipe Oberle accompanied them.

The proactivity and heroism of the new Jumas generation – the Missionary Generation – motivated the boys to take the Pilgrim Mother to families.

With a look to the past and a vision of the future, each missionary committed himself to being an instrument in our Mother’s hands.

Taking the Christ Tabor fire

The mission helped the community as part of its participation in parish life, particularly the reformation of the main church in the area, Our Lady of Seafarers. The boys also fit in well with the parish priest Fr. Tiago, and the community.

The Jumas missionaries in the Southern Region left Vicente Dutra certain that they did God’s will, placing themselves at the service of the Church.

Next year, the missions will continue in the Frederico Westphalen Diocese, taking the Christ Tabor fire to another city.
