In Florida since 2003, the program Radio “Covenant of Love” with Belsay Henning and Gustavo Méndez as the announcers, has been broadcasting with the motto “Nothing without You, Nothing without Us”. From its beginning, the program has tried to be a means of evangelization, taking Schoenstatt into every the home.
The program began the same year the grounds for the Light and the Road toward the Merciful Father Shrine were bought. And it was no coincidence that its first edition was October 18th, Covenant Day. Since then more than 500 programs have been aired, more than 15,000 minutes of evangelization, of transmitting Father Kentenich’s message and that of the Movement.
Those in charge of the program – professional journalists –especially concentrate in the format of in- depth interviews with protagonists from different backgrounds and apostolic Schoenstatt initiatives as well as with the people within the society and Church who have some attachment with Schoenstatt.
One of them, Bishop Agustin Román (auxiliary bishop emeritus of Miami, who died in 2011) was at Radio Covenant of Love several times and he always said the same phrase: “Tell people to go to visit the Blessed Mother’s little chapel; it is truly a gift for everyone.”
Take the Covenant of Love to everyone
The program tries to reach people in multiple ways that it has at its disposal: the radio, podcasts, the Internet, website or blog. It is a way of outreach not from a vertical form; but rather, an exchange, where the listeners or followers of the program, can express their opinions and send in their comments.
Moreover, the Radio Covenant of Love website offers video with photos and videos of Father Kentenich (produced by the Boys’ Youth from Buenos Aires, Argentina) and the Pilgrimage Prayer 2014 which is recorded and read professionally, in English and Spanish.

Who would have thought that the Mass “toward 2014” that was celebrated on May 18th in the Original Shrine in covenant with Radio Covenant of Love, would be the last Mass “toward 2014” to be celebrated before the news about the Original Shrine, was announced four days later, which made the entire Schoenstatt Family cry and dance from the joy? The main celebrant greeted everyone in Spanish and German, presenting it as the “project of the week”.
Just like every Saturday, the Original Shrine was filled with pilgrims from all corners of the world, who were present through their letters to the Blessed Mother that were sent via schoenstatt.org from more than twenty countries, among them, just like every Saturday, many prayed for the freedom of the Original Shrine with this simple as well as strong phrase: Blessed Mother, I go on pilgrimage in covenant solidarity to our Original Shrine.
