Thanks to her and the other translators’ commitment, news and testimonies, information and inspiration reaches not only people in the USA and other “traditional English-speaking” countries with a known Schoenstatt presence like Australia, South Africa, Canada, or Great Britain, but also people from countries in Eastern and South Eastern Europe: – Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Lithuania – in Asia: India, Japan, South Korea, and Africa, where Mali, Rwanda, and Egypt are showing up on the overlay map of “virtual pilgrims”.

The beginnings

“It all began because I would read the articles in Spanish and when there was a request for petitions, prayers, or other kinds of participation I would respond in English,” Celina Garza shares. “Then one day, Sr. Kornelia contacted me asking me if I was bilingual, and if I would be interested in helping with the translations. I agreed and the rest is history!”

“What I like best about this work is that it keeps me informed about everything that is happening in Schoenstatt throughout the world and also aboutthe important events in the Church. It is also interactive which keeps me connected to the Original Shrine and Schoenstatt in general. It is so interesting to read about people that I know and the many Schoenstatt places I have been blessed to visit, like Santa Maria, or Quarten… Thanks for inviting me to help. and I truly hope that my work has been satisfactory.”
