A new dawn

SCHOENSTATT GOING FORTH, Sarah-Leah Pimentel. I returned home this afternoon and in the next few days will be reflecting on everything we experienced in Schoenstatt and Rome. So many graces, so many blessings. But for now, I just want to share the last photo I took in Rome – of Belmonte. The sun sets. The Jubilee days and celebrations are over. But in every sunset, there is the promise of a new dawn.

We, all of Schoenstatt’s children, children of the Covenant, are the rays of sun in this new dawn. Renewed in our Covenant of Love with Mary, with one another and with our beloved Holy Father Pope Francis, we answer his call to set out and encounter others, especially those on the peripheries.

In the next days, stories will be shared on Schoenstatt.org, relating the experiences of these jubilee days in Schoenstatt, in Rome, and many shrines around the world. The words that our Holy Father Francis gave us, which are already available in the Spanish transcription, will be translated and shared. They are the roadmap for the Schoenstatt of the next 100 years, for a Schoenstatt sent forth in the sign of the fire of the Fackellauf, the Pilgrim Mother and the Unity Cross, in covenant with Pope Francis.

Mission 2014 fulfilled? No way. It is just beginning.
