On the eve of the Mass in Covenant with Mexico

MéxicoFr. Ignacio Camacho. We want to joyfully unite with the entire family throughout the world, especially this coming Saturday when the special intention of the Mass in the Original Shrine will be for our country, Mexico.

On this day, we want to offer our gratitude to the Blessed Mother for all of the life She gives us.  It is incredible how She takes charge day by day in opening new roads in many places.  She reaches many people through the Schoenstatt Rosary Campaign and the Schoenstatt Novena that attracts many to her Shrine.

We also want to express our gratitude for our Branches, and for all of the life that has developed around the person of our Founder during this year.  In many places, this life has deepened in his person and interest has grown in making his charism known.  For an example, this year his statue will be erected at the Shrines of Monterrey and San Luis Potosi.

But along with our gratitude, this Saturday, we want to present a very special intention that we want to share with the Family throughout the world.  We want to ask you to help us pray for peace in our country.  Violence is a reality that affects us more and more each day, and that above all is filling us with fear and hopelessness.  We pray that Mary will show herself as the Queen of Peace in our country, our cities, our homes, and may She help us to be builders of peace in our surroundings.  A Covenant Culture has to be a Culture of Peace.

From this Marian land, the land of Guadalupe, we wish the entire Family many blessings and may we go on pilgrimage together toward our Shrine, preparing our hearts to renew and to celebrate the centenary of our Covenant of Love.
