Ecuador walks toward 2014

Bolsa azul con el logo del 2014ECUADOR, María Elena Vilches. The Schoenstatt Family in Ecuador celebrated its Golden Anniversary in May of last year. Hundreds of people gathered in the shadow of the Shrine with the motto: For you Father, united on the paten. One of the clearest legacies of that celebration was awareness: We walk together toward the centenary of the Covenant of love.

Schoenstatt’s Golden Anniversary in Ecuador and the centenary of Schoenstatt for the entire world!

AlcancíaIt has been a grace to discover the union between these two great celebrations: Schoenstatt’s Golden Anniversary in Ecuador and the centenary of Schoenstatt for the entire world!

All the branches of the Family are preparing with their own originality; all the leaders’ conferences, workshops, group meetings in one way or another, touch on this subject that inflames the hearts of every Schoenstatter.

A savings bank with the logo of 2014 can be found in the majority of the homes of the members of the Couples’ Branch, where they have begun to save, little by little, to be physically present in the Original Schoenstatt for the large celebration.

Details that accompany the walk

Pasaporte - con visumThe Allies of the Girls’ Youth are not staying behind.

A few days ago they had their Annual Camp with the objective of beginning the jubilee triennium as allies holding Father’s hand, discovering how to live the Covenant of Love in everyday life, and in this way create a COVENANT CULTURE in our country and in the Church.

Each ally received a passport, a boarding pass, and a luggage tag for a suitcase. These documents specify that the camp is nothing more than a “layover” on their trip toward 2014, which they have already begun to conquer.

Toward the centenary of the Covenant of Love

TripticoAnother detail that helps the Family maintain the focus on 2014 is a triptych with the logo of the Golden Anniversary and a photo of the paten.

This triptych is not only informative to make the current of each year of triennium known; it is also a reminder that Schoenstatt Ecuador has begun its spiritual pilgrimage to the Original Shrine from its four Shrines.

Key chains, bags, stickers, buttons…no external souvenir is too much to constantly maintain the goal to which the members of the Family aspire: To walk as a Consecrated Family on the paten toward the centenary of the Covenant of Love.
