A Chapel for Migrant Youth in Bengaluru

INDIA, Fr. Jerin Choondal ISch •

A chapel for the migrant youth was renovated and blessed by Father Joy Puthussery on February 18. Nearly 150 youth who are active in our Schoenstatt youth groups were present. Father Arkadiuz Sosna, International Coordinator of the Apostolic Schoenstatt Movement, was also present to bless the occasion. —

Although we have been using this place for liturgical celebrations and meetings on a regular basis, we were fortunate to be able to consecrate it at this time. There are many other movement-related works that we are doing here. I would like to list them below:

  • We have regular Eucharistic celebrations for the migrant youth and for our Schoenstatt youth, almost 150 youth participate.
  • We distribute our MTA picture to different colleges. So far, we have reached eight colleges where the picture is on pilgrimage among the students.
  • We are also training the youth for the Covenant of Love with regular sessions during our youth meetings.

Sealing the Covenant of Love

A new group of nursing students sealed their Covenant of Love with their teacher in the Schoenstatt Shrine at the Kevin Campus in Bengaluru (Bangalore).

The group of fifteen young women prepared for this unforgettable divine experience of their lives. The presence of the Schoenstatt Fathers witnessed this divine-human relationship.

I ask all of you to pray for our endeavors. May our Mother guide us to reach many more young hearts. May we be the instruments of God’s providence to help these migrant youth to walk on the path of holiness.
