ARGENTINA, Antonio Gil •
From February 2 to 8 we had the opportunity to experience a regional Schoenstatt camp called Regnum Mariae, “Kingdom of Mary”, for children from 12 to 18 years old. —
Fifty people from Córdoba, Rosario and Mendoza participated. I am Antonio Gil, from the Boys’ Youth of Córdoba, I am 18 years old and I was sent by God to lead the camp, I am very happy with how everything went.
Enthusiasm
If I had to describe the Regnum in just one word, it would be “enthusiasm”, because all the activities were lived with great fervor, such as games, talks, and a whole night of eight hours of adoration (more than 12 boys stayed all night). It was the night of the feast of Blessed José Gabriel Brochero, and we asked him for the grace to be men of continuous prayer. That is why during the night we remained in adoration of Jesus, praying for many people.
The word “enthusiasm” comes from the Greek “enthousiasmós” (ένθουσιασμός), which means “to live happily by carrying God inside”. At the camp we were happy, but not a passing happiness, but one that will last for a very long time, because God built it.
Saints through Mary
In addition to this, at the camp we talked about holiness as the axis of daily life and we had our motto: “Saints for Mary, giving soul and life”. On the last day we asked Jesus to make us saints who know how to live in community!
