The power of prayer, during the month of May

PERÚ, Mariela Reche. Just like every year during the month of May and united in prayer, the Schoenstatt Family from Lima, Peru remembers Mary. During this Jubilee Year on the 13th, the encounter was more meaningful; there was a Mass before the rosary, and the intention was for the participants to prepare their hearts and to take their desire of gaining a Plenary Indulgence to the Lord.

During the event, the power of prayer and unity, which this generates among the people with everyone united as a family, was felt.  They experienced how everyone placed their heart in the hands of the people who were present, hoping for help through prayer, so that the Blessed Mother would intercede for everyone.

“Prayer is so strong– the desire, the magic, the unity that exists, which on a night with a full moon and thousands of circumstances that we experienced during the daylight exists.  This shows us how Mary can illuminate the world as well as us, thus touching our hearts, sensitizing our hearts and making us happy,” Ximena Chávez Best, a member of the Girls’ Youth manifested.

“It is a question of opening your heart”

On this cold night, we were grateful for everything we had received. We prayed for our desires and everything was offered in front of the Shrine.  Despite the cold, God and the Blessed Mother’s presence offered the warmth necessary to continue to believe united in the faith of prayer.

“It is a question opening your heart, to set aside all sadness, fears and insecurities and allow yourself to be taken in, allow God and the Blessed Mother to touch you. Mary teaches us how to trust in Him, to love him, to do his will, to give everything for Him, and to say Yes until the end,” Ximena concluded.
