Consecration of Pope Francis’ Ministry to Our Lady of Fatima

PORTUGAL, red. During the May 13th celebrations to which the entire people of God were invited, Pope Francis’ pontificate was consecrated to Our Lady of Fatima.

Archbishop Orani João Tempesta of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, presided over the International Pilgrimage in Fatima to commemorate the 96th anniversary of the first apparition of Our Lady to the three children.

The theme of the pilgrimage was “Nothing is impossible for God.” (Lk 1:37).

At the end of the international Eucharistic celebration on May 13th, after Pope Francis’ pontificate was consecrated to Our Lady of Fatima, Bishop António Marto of Leiria-Fatima read the message from the Apostolic Nuncio in Portugal to the Cardinal of Lisbon.

In his message, the Apostolic Nuncio stated that the “Holy Father expresses his appreciation for the initiative and deeply acknowledges the fulfilment of his wish in the unity of prayer with all of the pilgrims to Fatima, to whom he gives his heartfelt Apostolic Blessing of all that is good.”
