Quote of the Week. We have been called to be the “Generation 2014”, the generation of this stage of re-founding our Family. That is why the Blessed Mother of Schoenstatt has prepared us to be missionaries of the covenant for OUR TIME with all its challenges and opportunities, its weaknesses and greatness … a time in which we consciously take our stand in the spirit of service, and in the knowledge that the Lord is at work in these times while reckoning with missionary Schoenstatters who contribute their commitment through practical projects and services that create a covenant culture.
That is why the picture of the holy and missionary Schoenstatter – Don Joao Pozzobon, the saint of new evangelisation – appears before us ever more clearly. He was a layman who was in love with the Blessed Mother and utterly committed to his mission; he was faithful to the Church and filled with a deep awareness of solidarity with the poorest of the poor.
The sign and standard are the cross of the covenant, the Unity Cross, the MISSIONARY CROSS, and the PILGRIM MOTHER. Together they characterise all Schoenstatt missionaries and their missionary projects.
