First congress of Schoenstatt Artists in Chile

CHILE, Maria de Pilar Oyarzún. From October 20th to 28th, a congress was held of more than sixty artists from the Schoenstatt Movement. In various works of art, they portrayed, the profound charism inherited from Father Kentenich. Paintings, sculptures, photography, textile, embroidery, gold crafts and film, surprised all the visitors to the gallery at the Campanario Shrine of Santiago.

These works of art were being exhibited as part of an entire week of cultural and artistic activities. Last October 23rd, the history of Schoenstatt in Chile through different choirs and instruments – with the presence of fathers, youths, mothers and many more – delighted their participants with the varied melodies.

On Monday, the 22nd, Father Angel Vicente, who made the Unity Cross, related his story in a very pleasant dialogue with his audience.

On the 25th, Father Joaquin Allende staged a monologue that was accompanied by music and dance in a big presentation.

This great gathering was indeed a big success and makes one meditate on how much art can offer in this time of our lives.

A wonderful display of God’s gift of creativity as it is extended to us through his childlike instruments. Thank you
