Monthly, the diocesan priests have “their day” in the Shrine

PERU, Queca Espinoza. The Blessed Mother receives her diocesan priest sons in the de la Molina Shrine in Lima, Peru.  As they do each month, one by one they arrived happily at the Shrine to visit their dear Mother…to thank her for the experiences of the past month, to present her their petitions, their desires, their successes, and failures.

Father Eduardo Aguirre, recently arrived from Chile for the awaited Family retreat and adviser to the Families Branch, celebrated the Holy Mass. Two groups of Ladies, the “Hands of Mary” and the “Lectio Divina,” who were visiting in the Shrine, accompanied them.  Father Alberto Celis, who concelebrated, had arrived earlier to prepare the altar and the readings for the day.

After a meditation and with the sounds from Father Jaime Llamas’s guitar, they sang to their dear Mother and to her Son Jesus.  Fr. Llamas was recently named pastor in San Miguel.

A delicious lunch for “our priests”

Chivi Chávez, Coordinator, Rocío Castro, leader of the Families Branch, and Lucía, the Movement’s secretary tended to them.  They enjoyed a delicious lunch in the Shrine’s gardens.  They were happy because they felt at home, and they reflected this joy.

They took the necessary photos, had lunch, and then each one returned to his parish to continue welcoming hearts.
