Father Kentenich helped…

BURUNDI, Caritas Kabirig. At the end of 2009, my daughter in-law was expecting her first child. The pregnancy was going well until the sixth month, at that time, she began to suffer from hypertension, and she underwent treatment.

Testimony of the leader of the Schoenstatt Mothers’ League in Burundi:

Nevertheless, instead of decreasing, the arterial pressure increased, and the doctors also found that level of albumen (the simple protein that is contained in the serum whose main function is regulate the osmotic plasma pressure, since it is soluble in water) was ten times more than the normal level. Normally, the amount of albumen that is acceptable for the human body varies from 0 to 4, but the medical exams showed the amount my daughter in- law had was above 40. As a result of this, the doctors decided to perform a caesarean to save the mother’s life. The operation was initially planned for August 6th, 2010, but because of my daughter in-law’s health (high blood pressure, as well as albumen serum and swollen body); they decided there was no time to lose. Since the problem of high blood pressure arose, some Schoenstatt mothers accompanied me to lift prayers to heaven for Father Kentenich’s canonization several times a day.

The cesarean was done on May 28, 2010, at six months and three weeks into the pregnancy. My daughter in-law survived the surgery, and a child weighing 800 grams was born. It was necessary to place her in an incubator, where, in spite of a small weight loss during the first days, the child survived and after two months, she weighed 1,200 Kg. Now she is a very happy child that is developing normally.

As to the mother, she recuperated well after the cesarean, and in four days the blood pressure began to decrease. Now she is in good health.

Praised be the Lord, the Mother Thrice Admirable and Father Kentenich, who came to our help. It was a miracle, since the doctors had little hope of saving the mother and her child.
