PORTUGAL, Daniel Simões. Last Saturday, October 29th, a meeting for coordinators of the Schoenstatt Rosary Campaign from Alemtejo (chosen name for including the dioceses of Evora, Beja and Portalegre) took place in Vila Vicosa beside the home of the Patroness.
The meeting took place in the home of the Patroness, Our Lady of the Conception – Queen of Portugal – with the praying of the Holy Rosary and many songs sung by everyone. We continued afterward in the Seminary where we were very well received with a presentation on the previous visit of the Auxiliary Image for Europe to the land of Alemtejo. The Auxiliary is on her way preparing for September 12, 2012, when she will be crowned in Schoenstatt as “Queen of the New Evangelization for Europe.”
“Who is the mother who visits me, and of whom am I a coordinator?”
Afterwards, Father José Melo (of the Schoenstatt Fathers) spoke on the topic: “Who is the mother who visits me, and of whom am I a missionary?”
The atmosphere experienced was everyone’s participation and the enthusiasm for the mission which the Schoenstatt Rosary Campaign has for our country and for our times. And it is important to know the response to the question posed in the title of the presentation.
In conclusion, there was a lunch shared where we all were moved again with the mission which our Mother has placed on our shoulders. This was the first gathering for the 2011 – 2012 year. Another gathering will take place in the spring for evaluation. In July there will be a pilgrimage to the Gafanha of Nazareth Shrine.
Stressed was the need to begin the preparation for the next pilgrimage to Schoenstatt in September of 2012 for the aforementioned coronation.
